Meg Ryan’s Bel-Air home back on the market at $14.2 million
Update: Actress Meg Ryan has put her Bel-Air home back up for sale at $14.2 million.
She had listed the compound in October 2008 at $19.5 million but withdrew it from the market at the end of February.
The Spanish-style house, built in 1931, has been restored and features stenciled beam ceilings, arched doorways and ironwork. French doors open to city and ocean views, a loggia, a dining pavilion and the swimming pool. The four fireplaces include one in the guesthouse. There are six bedrooms and seven bathrooms in 6,877 square feet.
Ryan, 47, has been a leading lady in films such as “When Harry Met Sally . . . “ (1989), “Sleepless in Seattle” (1993) and “You’ve Got Mail” (1998). Last year she starred in “The Women” and “My Mom’s New Boyfriend.”
The property was purchased in 2000 for $8,995,000, public records show.
The listing agent is David Offer of Prudential California Realty, Los Angeles, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
