Comic Frank Caliendo sells Bud Abbott’s one-time home in Studio City

Impressionist-comedian Frank Caliendo has sold a Studio City home once owned by Bud Abbott of the comedy duo Abbott and Costello for $1.4 million.

The English Country-style home, built in 1939, has a dual-island kitchen, a family room with a wet bar, five bedrooms and six bathrooms in 3,662 square feet of space. Leaded glass bay and picture windows, hardwood floors and wainscoting are among the interior details.

Outdoors, grounds of about a quarter of an acre feature a swimming pool and spa, a large patio and a built-in barbecue.

The home came on the market in June for $1.495 million, records show. It previously sold for $1.123 million in 2003.

Josh Flagg of Rodeo Realty had the listing, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

Caliendo, 41, is best known for his celebrity impressions and was a cast member on “MADtv” from 2001-06 and a featured guest on “Fox NFL Sunday” for more than a decade. His own series, “Frank TV,” aired for two seasons on TBS.
