With Memorial Day weekend upon us, we thought it’s a perfect time for reflection. So far this year, a mix of properties and notable names have piqued our readers’ interest. Here are a few of the homes that have attracted the most eyeballs so far.
An esteemed tenant
As presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump continue to blaze the campaign trail, many have mused of current POTUS Barack Obama’s future once he leaves office next year.
It turns out that Obama and First Lady Michelle may not stray far from the Oval Office. The couple are reportedly planning to lease a brick-lined mansion in D.C.’s Kalorama neighborhood. The roughly 8,200-square-foot home is currently owned by Clinton White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart and his wife, who make their home in New York.

This is a big sale
Of the priciest sales so far in 2016, none has proved more popular than Judd Apatow’s April sale. The Hollywood filmmaker and his wife, actress-comedian Leslie Mann, sold their oceanfront home in gated Malibu Colony for $11.5 million — just shy of their $12-million asking price.
The walled 1930s beach house, formerly owned by “Pretty Woman” producer Laura Ziskin, features a casual coastal vibe, open living spaces and walls of glass. Views take in the surrounding coastline.

Vintage vibe in Vegas
Former Playboy bunny and reality television star Holly Madison loves her ‘40s-style kitchen, and apparently so do you. Madison worked closely with Disney Imagineer Kim Irvine to design the cook space, which features an eclectic mix of red-and-white hues, hand-painted tiles and other vintage details.

Larger than life
Tyler Perry is apparently swapping one massive estate for another in the Peach State. The actor and filmmaker, who last month sold his 35,000-square-foot home in Atlanta for $17.5 million, is apparently building an even larger estate near the area.
Perry revealed in an interview with E! News that he wanted more land so he “can have horses and pigs and organic vegetables.”

A reality throwback
America can’t seem to get enough of the Kardashian-Jenner clan and their homes, even the ones they no longer own. Proving this point was the recent sale of a Calabasas residence that was owned by Caitlyn, then known as Bruce, and Kris Jenner from 2004 to 2006.
The roughly 4,600-square-foot Mediterranean changed hands this month for $2.351 million. As for the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” stars, Caitlyn now resides in Malibu; Kris makes her home in gated Hidden Hills.
He’s ready to play ball
The desert home of Oakland Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp proved to be quite a hit with Hot Property readers, and rightfully so. The 17,870-square-foot mansion in Desert Mirage features a Wiffle ball field complete with a lighted electronic scoreboard.
Up for sale at about $10 million, the house also includes a home theater with stadium seating, a custom wine room and a saltwater aquarium. A batting cage, tennis court and resort-style swimming pool round out this over-the-top home.

A Playboy’s playground
It’s been roughly five months since the legendary Playboy Mansion went up for sale for $200 million. We’re still waiting for the Holmby Hills residence to find its new owner, but there’s certainly been no shortage of characters lining up at the door.
Hustler founder Larry Flynt was among the first to throw his proverbial hat into the ring, followed by Jeff Beacher of Beacher’s Madhouse, who said he wanted to turn the property in a members-only club. Neither has produced a substantial offer, however.

Twenty years ago this week, Emmy-winning actress Candice Bergen and 007 actor Roger Moore headlined Hot Property with a home hand-off in Beverly Hills. Moore sold the 3,300-square-foot home, which he previously leased to Robert De Niro, to the “Murphy Brown” star for about $3.2 million. Bergen had, at the time, been renting the old aviary on the John Barrymore estate.
Kelsey Grammer, known for his roles on “Cheers” and “Frasier,” had reason to toast his good fortune around this time 10 years ago. The actor and then-wife, Camille, sold his Beverly Hills home for $25 million — $7.5 million more than he paid for it two years prior.

— Children of the ‘80s saw part of their childhood go up for sale in the Bay Area this week. New to market in San Francisco is the 1883 Victorian that appears in the 1980s sitcom “Full House” and the Netflix reboot “Fuller House,” according to SFGate. The exterior may look familiar, but that’s about where the nostalgia train ends; the interiors featured in “Full House” were actually shot in a Burbank studio.
— Whereas L.A.’s luxury sector has sprung to life in recent weeks, California’s Silicon Valley is in the midst of a slowdown. Bloomberg reports that the market, among the most expensive in the U.S., has cooled slightly thanks to a drop in pocket-heavy foreign investors, market turmoil and other factors.
