Anaheim Ducks’ Ryan Getzlaf nets $3.75 million in Orange County home sale

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf has sold his home in Tustin for $3.75 million, the priciest transaction in the Orange County community since 2014, property records show.

Set on a cul-de-sac in Tustin Ranch Estates, the palm-topped site centers on a Spanish-style home built in 2002. A sports court, a putting green and swimming pool and spa fill the roughly one-acre grounds.

Clad in stone and dark wood finishes, the 6,900 square feet of interiors include a formal living room, a dining area, a home theater, a game room and a wine cellar. A chef’s kitchen sports two islands and a floating stainless steel range.

A total of five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms includes a master suite with custom cabinetry, a fireplace and a sitting area. Inside and out, there are four fireplaces in all.

Outdoors, a pair of covered patios provide shade for an outdoor kitchen and wet bar. An interior courtyard sits off of the front entrance.

Views take in the surrounding canyon and mountain areas.

Getzlaf, who bought a house in another part of Orange County last year, put the home up for sale last summer for $4.9 million, The Times exclusively reported. He bought the property six years ago for $3.76 million.

Joseph Martelli of Joseph Martelli Real Estate Investment was the listing agent. Robyn Webb of O.C. Real Estate 411 represented the buyer.

Getzlaf, now in his 11th NHL season, has spent his entire career with the Ducks, making three all-star teams. The 30-year-old center won a Stanley Cup with Anaheim in 2007 and has twice won Olympic gold medals with the Canadian national team (2010, 2014).
