Jessica Simpson spills: She’s having a baby boy

Jessica Simpson is having a baby boy! The pregnant star revealed her latest baby’s gender on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Wednesday with a semi-crude gaffe that even went unnoticed by the show’s host and audience.

Who does she think she is, Kate Middleton? The Duchess of Cambridge might have also revealed with a slip-up that she was having a girl earlier this week.... But that’s another story. Back to Jessica, 32, who is doing the rounds to promote the new season of her reality competition show “Fashion Star.”

“Oh my gosh, it’s a total different pregnancy, I just feel awful,” Simpson, wearing a lacy black minidress and hot pink pumps, started. “I’ve been vomiting and the crazy thing is I never knew that a wiener could actually make me nauseous.”

Pausing for a second, Simpson thought about what she just said and shouted out: “Oh, shoot, I guess I just told the world that I’m having a boy!”

Kimmel, however, didn’t quite gather that she revealed her baby’s gender until she blurted it out: “Oh! I didn’t even know what has happening,” he laughed, admitting that he didn’t realize her “wiener” remark meant something else completely. “I thought maybe you were having a girl with a penis!”

“I kind of just outed that I’m having a boy right?” the singer-turned-businesswoman-turned-reality-mentor said of her blunder. “I can’t believe I did that, that was not planned.” She added that her family and friends already knew.

Now it begs the question if she’ll christen the boy with a girl’s name. Simpson famously named her daughter Maxwell, but this time around she plans to name the child “Ace,” asking Kimmel if that name works for a boy. Really, Jessica? Does it matter?

The singer, who has been engaged to Eric Johnson since November 2010, said that she needs to stop having kids in order to make it down the aisle. She announced in December via Twitter that she was having another baby after giving birth in early May 2012 to baby Maxwell.

“I keep planning on getting married but I keep getting knocked up,” Simpson said, adding that she really “would like to stop being pregnant.” As far as having more than two kids, she said, “I really don’t want to be pregnant again because this pregnancy is rocking my world.”

Simpson revealed to Ellen DeGeneres earlier on Wednesday that her new snack of choice was Tums, given the amount of acid reflux she was experiencing during the pregnancy.
