Keri Russell of “The Americans” may or may not be dating her costar Matthew Rhys, according to reports out Tuesday.

The “Felicity” alum, 38, and the Welsh actor, 39, who play hotblooded spies in the FX Cold War drama, have ignited dating rumors, according to People, which reported an alleged “date night” between the actors.

The pair were spotted taking in Steven Soderbergh’s play “The Library” in New York last week, the mag reported, citing witnesses who said the costars cozied up during the performance, whispering to each other. (Dark room, no talking, seems like a typical theater-going experience to us....)

Rumors that the two have been dating have been intercepted by the mag for a while now, though the former “Brothers & Sisters” actor has cunningly skirted the issue. How’s that for duplicitous character acting?

As for his take on intel that they’re an item, which cropped up soon after news of Russell’s split from her husband, he said “that’s the best [rumor] I love,” People reported in March.

That rumor certainly sent fan minds into a tizzy when the pair posed for GQ’s highly provocative February photo spread that featured a vamped-up Russell in various states of clothed intimacy with her costar. Life imitating art, you say?

Last December, Russell confirmed her “amicable” split from husband Shane Deary following seven years of marriage. The pair had been separated since the summer, according to her rep, and have two young children together, River, 6, and Willa, 2. The actress will appear next in this summer’s “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.”
