Kaskade announces new headlining date at L.A. Convention Center

You’ve battled space aliens at E3 and cosplayed at the Anime Expo, and now you can rave in the same locale. Kaskade has booked the first EDM concert at the L.A. Convention Center.
The now L.A.-based producer born Ryan Raddon has announced his first L.A. solo headlining set in more two years, and it will take place at the downtown exhibition space on May 7.

The show, booked by Electric Daisy Carnival promoter Insomniac, comes on the heels of his sets at the large but mixed-bag Air + Style action sports event in L.A. and a primetime Coachella set last year.
The show is the first major club music event at the 45-year old venue and Kaskade’s first local headline set since the September release of his latest album, “Automatic,” his ninth. It’s set to be the highest-capacity solo show of his long career, and to judge by the light-pillar installations of his Coachella set, it will also be one of the most technically involved.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, marking the latest major-venue first for Kaskade in downtown L.A. He was also the first EDM act to headline a solo show at Staples Center in 2012.
