Some tickets still remain for Sunday’s all-star Paula Wolfert fundraiser
The dishes will include some of the greatest dishes from France, Italy, Morocco and the eastern Mediterranean. They’ll be prepared by an all-star lineup that includes Mozza’s Nancy Silverton and Matt Molina, Melisse’s Josiah Citrin, and Border Grill’s Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger. And auction packages have been donated by Mario Batali, Jose Andres, Daniel Patterson and Suzanne Goin.
The best news? If you haven’t already signed up for the Mediterranean Feast Fundraiser for Paula Wolfert, there are still a few tickets left, ranging from $75 to $125 per person. The event will be held Sunday afternoon at Sarkis Vartanian’s Daily Dose cafe and is organized by Susan Park and Farid Zadi, of the upcoming Doner Revolution.
One of the great cookbook authors of our time, Wolfert was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. In characteristic Wolfert fashion, rather than suffering silently, she has become a spokesperson for the fight to find a cure. This event is a part of that fight, with all proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Assn.
It all starts at noon and more than 30 dishes -- either Wolfert favorites or inspired by her -- will be served. They’ll include whole roast lamb, porchetta, bisteeya, bouillabaisse, cassoulet, brik and Berber skillet bread.
