Test a bed, get 30 winks
Would making an appointment to nap in a sleeping pod convince you to take care of your sleep-deprived self?
That’s what happened last year when the sleep startup Casper, which sells mattresses in a box directly to consumers, hosted a mobile nap tour of the East Coast to let people try out their wares.
The napmobile proved so popular — more than 5,000 people signed up to nap — that the company decided to add a tour of six Western cities spanning Portland to Houston.

The traveling truck, which will park at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Thursday and Friday and Pink Taco on Sunset next Saturday and Sunday, is composed of four Japanese-style napping pods outfitted with Casper mattresses, sheets and pillows.
You can book a specific nap time online at www.casper.com/naptour, hop in and take a 30-minute snooze from noon to 8 p.m. daily. Walk-ins are welcome too. The nap is free and sales reps will be on hand if you have any questions or want to make an online purchase.
You can also take a nap at the Casper showroom/house in the Hollywood Hills, 8368 Hollywood Blvd. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
And in case you’re wondering: They change the sheets between naps.
