Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near Mammoth Lakes

A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Friday morning 10 miles from Mammoth Lakes, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 12:20 a.m. PDT at a depth of 5.6 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 66 miles from Clovis, 68 miles from Sanger and 71 miles from Reedley.

In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
