Earthquake: Magnitude 3.6 quake strikes near Big Pine
A shallow magnitude 3.6 earthquake was reported Wednesday night four miles from Big Pine, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:28 p.m. PST at a depth of 7.5 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 70 miles from Dinuba, 71 miles from Reedley and 72 miles from Sanger.
In the last 10 days, there have been six earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
