Workers find body in a bag at Manhattan Beach park
City workers moving a pile of dirt at a park in Manhattan Beach found a body wrapped in a bag, authorities said Thursday night.
The grisly discovery was made about 3:30 p.m. near a baseball diamond in the 1500 block of North Peck Avenue, authorities said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide investigators are on the case, the department said in a statement.
Due to the condition of the body, officials said, identity will have to be determined by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
