10 Freeway in West Covina reopens following crash involving nearly a dozen cars

A crash involving multiple vehicles triggered the closure of the westbound 10 Freeway in West Covina on Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported at 4:54 a.m. near Holt Avenue and involved at least five vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol. All westbound lanes were closed until 6:43 a.m. and a SigAlert was issued.

Later CHP reports indicated that up to 10 vehicles could have been involved in the crash.

CHP Officer Alex Rubio said authorities were still trying to sort out the drivers involved in the crash and witnesses. No injuries were reported, he said.
