Los Angeles firefighters were battling a greater-alarm structure fire Wednesday night in the West Adams neighborhood.

The roof of the building in the 4000 block of West Jefferson Boulevard had collapsed as firefighters blasted huge streams of water onto the flames.

More than 100 Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters responded to the blaze, the agency said. They were trying to prevent flames from reaching adjacent structures, according to news footage.

The blaze was largely contained late Wednesday but not extinguished, the LAFD said.

No injuries were reported. The blaze came a day after three firefighters were injured battling a large fire at a historic church in South Los Angeles.
