Human remains found in Lancaster yet to be examined
Authorities have yet to examine human remains found last weekend in Lancaster.
The remains were found about 5:40 p.m. Dec. 14 near the area between Challenger Way and East Avenue J-8, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Homicide detectives were sent to the scene to investigate the discovery.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said Thursday that the remains had not yet been examined and that officials are unsure whether they are those of a man or woman.
