Five people have been charged in Riverside County with kidnapping an 18-year-old woman from Compton for purposes of pimping and human trafficking, authorities said Wednesday.

The woman was snatched from Compton either Thursday or Friday and allegedly sexual assaulted by two of the suspects, officials said.

But she was able to escape Friday from a Moreno Valley Best Western motel, where she had been taken to work as a prostitute, prosecutors said.

Riverside County’s Anti-Human Trafficking Task force was able to swoop into the motel Friday and arrest five suspects.

Adubakr Horrington, 32; Khalid Binhajjyahyaabdulmalik, 23; Ibrahim Binhajjyahyaabdulmalik, 25; and Jerry Landers, 22, were charged with kidnapping for the purpose of rape and a weapons enhancement, said John Hall, a spokesman for the Riverside County district attorney’s office.

Horrington and Khalid Binhajjyahyaabdulmalik were charged with forced oral copulation in concert, and Horrington also was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

They were charged, along with Ana Ceja, 20, with human trafficking and attempted pimping.

Hall said if convicted of all charges, the four men each face a potential life sentence and Ceja 20 years in prison.

The five were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Riverside.
