LAPD motorcycle officer struck in hit-and-run collision

A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was struck in a hit-and-run collision near Sunset Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway, a department spokesman said Wednesday night.
The condition of the officer was not immediately known. He was hit about 7:50 p.m by a dark colored vehicle that apparently fled north on PCH, according to Officer Gregory Baek.
“The vehicle left the scene without rendering aid,” Baek said.
Investigators were responding to the scene. No other details were immediately available.
[Updated, 8:41 p.m., Dec. 4: The officer was transported to a hospital, police said. His condition was not immediately known.]
