Man accused of using knife to try to force girl to perform sex
A Chino Hills man was arrested after allegedly brandished a knife and trying to force an underage girl to perform a sex act, authorities said Thursday.
Brandon Barbour, 20, confronted the girl Tuesday morning as she walked to school, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The girl ran away and reported what happened to school officials, who alerted authorities.
The girl spotted Barbour on Wednesday in her apartment complex and told her father. He detained the suspect until deputies arrived.
“Barbour was positively identified,” the department said in a statement, and a knife was allegedly recovered in his car.
