Shooting in Compton leaves one man dead, another wounded
Gunfire erupted in Compton early Sunday, leaving one man dead and another wounded, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at 4:20 a.m. in the 500 block of Long Beach Boulevard, said Deputy Jeff Gordon of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Homicide detectives were still at the scene hours later, he said.
Officials did not release the names of the men or any other details of the incident.
