Passengers were ordered to exit a Metro bus one-by-one Wednesday morning in Historic South-Central L.A. after a report of a disturbance on board, authorities said.

The disturbance was called in around 7 a.m. near the intersection of Broadway and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, “so they’re clearing [the bus] for precautionary measures,” said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Guillermina Saldana.

Details on what the disturbance entailed was not immediately available as the investigation was still preliminary.

Saldana said it was also unclear if anyone was hurt.

“I think that’s why they’re getting people out one-by-one,” she said.
