Drizzle, storms may dampen Southern California in hours, days ahead
Southern Californians could see drizzle and thunderstorms over the next few days as a monsoon system floats north from Mexico.
Despite the chance of moisture, National Weather Service meteorologist Kathy Hoxsie says Angelenos won’t get much of a break from the heat.
High temperatures will remain in the mid-70s and low-80s in the Los Angeles basin and in the 90s in the valleys through Friday, Hoxsie said.
Any showers that might come through are expected to do so Wednesday, she said. The Antelope Valley and surrounding mountains are likely to experience thunderstorms Thursday.
By Saturday, it should be “a typical summer day” across Los Angeles, Hoxsie said.
