More hot weather headed to Southern California, forecasters say
Southern Californians are in for another week of clear skies and hot temperatures, the National Weather Service said Monday.
Woodland Hills could experience temperatures up to 100 on Monday and 104 on Tuesday, said meteorologist Rich Thompson.
Daytime temperatures in the valleys will remain in the 90s for most of the week and in the 70s or 80s along the coasts into the weekend, Thompson said.
Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day of the week, with temperatures in downtown Los Angeles expected to reach the mid-90s.
The weather should cool by Friday before warming up again over the weekend, Thompson said.
Despite the heat, humidity and wind conditions aren’t expected to worsen enough to issue a red-flag fire warning this week, he said.
