A 40-year veteran of Los Angeles County’s Department of Parks and Recreation has been arrested on suspicion of preying on children, authorities said.
Donald Lee Johnson, 62, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of multiple counts of lewd acts with a child under the age of 15, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The alleged crimes occurred at Ted Watkins Memorial Park in South Los Angeles. Authorities said county employees alerted them.
Johnson is being held on $250,000 bail.
Sheriff’s officials say four alleged victims have been identified. Investigators are continuing to try to identify any other potential victims or witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Richard Ruiz at (877) 710-5273.
