Letters: Narcotics-free pain treatment
Your article may give readers the impression that narcotic drugs are the only way to treat pain. However, by the time pain-hardened individuals seek out doctors, serial narcotic monotherapy is counterproductive. Behavioral, physical and social factors beg for attention in combination with detox and other proven non-narcotic regimens.
Treating the whole patient is the key.
