Dodgers’ game Saturday in Denver is rained out

And then the heavens opened up and they called it a day, or at least a game.
With rain falling and more expected throughout the night, the Rockies postponed Saturday’s game against the Dodgers before they even opened the Coors Field gates.
No makeup game has been scheduled, and no doubleheader is planned for Sunday. That game is also in doubt, with snow forecast in the morning.
Clayton Kershaw, who was scheduled to pitch Saturday, now rolls over and becomes Sunday’s starter. If that game is snowed/rained out, he’ll go for career victory No. 100 when the team returns home on Monday to meet the Marlins.
Friday night’s game was called after five innings because of rain, so there has been consistency to Denver’s weekend weather.
Meanwhile there was no immediate update on outfielder Yasiel Puig, who aggravated his sore left hamstring Friday in a rehab game with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga. Manager Don Mattingly told reporters in Colorado that Puig was scheduled to have an MRI exam on the leg Sunday.
