Rockets’ final plea to Dwight Howard: Kids on video
As the Dwight Howard free-agent drama spins toward the weekend with the Golden State Warriors reportedly joining the fray, Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey took to YouTube with a final video plea.
We all know that puppies, kittens and kids capture the heart and imagination when shown doing cute things in videos or pictures.
The Rockets appeared to be the front-runner this week after Howard’s series of meetings with Atlanta, Dallas, Golden State, Houston and the Lakers.
Each team had a bevy of superstars and pitchmen to do their bidding, but Morey took it one step further, putting together a video of children, including his daughter on a swing, telling Howard to come to Houston.
Pulling out all the stops...my daughter&friends made this video to urge @DwightHoward to come to the Rockets https://t.co/ICRiits19h— Daryl Morey (@dmorey) July 5, 2013
Howard just might be the kind of gentle giant who is touched by such a video. The basketball world awaits his answer.
