3.5 quake strikes near Ventura
A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning four miles from Saticoy, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 2:05 a.m. PDT at a depth of 13.7 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was six miles from Ventura, eight miles from Santa Paula and nine miles from Oxnard.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
